Nitro Digital is thrilled to be invited to the Charity Times Awards tonight in London along with their client the Diabetes Research & Wellness Foundation (DRWF), which is shortlisted in the Best Use of the Web Category for their new website.

Working together

DRWF came to Nitro in the summer of 2013 with the goals of updating a tired looking website, increasing donations and creating a community centric site, that was accessible to everyone, regardless of age or computer experience.

Nitro’s UX specialists recreated the site map using interviews with DRWF staff and community members – understanding the needs of each – from there they revitalised the user journey, making it more intuitive and easy to navigate. Meanwhile, the creative team designed a visually appealing site, using strong imagery and a stylised layout.

Signs of success

The biggest sign of the new website’s success is the increase in membership and one-off donations that DRWF have seen since the new site went live.

The Charity Times Awards is a yearly event to recognise and award those for best practice in the UK charity and not-for-profit sector. This is the fifteenth year for the event, this year held in the Lancaster London Hotel.

DRWF was established in 1998 to raise public awareness to this chronic, long-term condition and its associated complications, treatment, avoidance and relief and to provide support to people living with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.
